The two-day festival will include activities introducing Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, its tourist sites and culture.

The event will see the participation of talented young Vietnamese singer Noo Phuoc Thinh and Japanese singer Ueno Yuka, who are expected to stir the stage with exciting performances.

Following the festival, the Japanese Folk Festival will take place at The Hanoi Opera House, featuring musical performances and traditional art forms of Japan.

Tickets for the event are priced at VND100,000 and all proceeds will be donated to Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School for visual-impaired students.

Japan is one of the most important markets of international tourists to Vietnam. Statistics show that Vietnam received nearly 830,000 Japanese tourists in 2018, increasing 3.6% against the same period last year. The number of Japanese tourists reached more than 620,000 in the first nine months of this year, up 13.7% year-on-year.
