The three-day event features more than 320 booths by up to 300 travel businesses, hotels, service providers, and tourism associations from 25 cities and provinces nationwide plus six foreign exhibitors from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Cuba.

Jointly held by the municipal People’s Committee of Can Tho city and the Vietnam Tourism Association, the event is expected to create an opportunity for travel firms in the Mekong Delta to advertise their products, gather experience and expand their partnerships with domestic and international colleagues, thus boosting tourism development in the region.

A number of sideline activities will be held throughout the event, including an 80-booth fair boasting the cuisine and signature dishes of the Mekong Delta, a fruit carving contest, a food festival, and a forum on sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region.

Visitors to the event can also enjoy various art performances highlighting Vietnam’s traditional art forms, including ‘Quan Ho’ (love duet) singing of the Bac Ninh province, ‘Vi Dam’ folk singing of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, and 'Don Ca Tai Tu’ (folk music in the southern region).
