Art programme kickstarts tourism stimulation campaign in Quang Ninh

A colourful art programme entitled ‘Greet Summer in Ha Long – Quang Ninh 2020’ was staged in Ha Long City on May 16.

This is the starting event in a series cultural, tourism and sporting activities to be held this summer to stimulate tourism in Quang Ninh Province post COVID-19.

The 90-minute programme featured beautiful songs and dances highlighting the life, people and culture in Ha Long City and Quang Ninh Province in general through performances of poplar singers and bands, including Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Hoang Tung, My Dung, The Wings, and Kyo York.

According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Huy Hau, together with the entire country, Quang Ninh is now entering a new phase of long-term pandemic prevention while ensuring socioeconomic development. If which, facilitating tourism development is seen as a top priority for the province’s economic recovery.

The provincial authorities have approved a tourism promotion incentive for 2020 worth about VND 200 billion (nearly US8.6 million) for the implementation of a wide range of measures and solutions to attract more domestic tourists to Quang Ninh and create stable jobs for local people.

Local travel businesses have also agreed to reduce the cost of services by 30-50% and design new tourists products for visitors to the province while maintaining quality of services to promote the image of tourism in the province.
