The social non-profit fund was established to call on and connect the travel business community and foster joint efforts to boost Da Nang’s tourism after the COVID-19 crisis.

It can be operated thanks to financial support from local individuals and organisations operating in the tourism sector, who have donated VND3.85 billion to the fund to date.

The money will be used to create new tourist products for the city, carry out market research and organise promotional activities to introduce Da Nang’s tourism to domestic and international markets.

Also at the ceremony, the city’s tourism department announced the launch of the 2020 tourism stimulus campaign, which will feature various events and activities for visitors.

Prominent among them include the ‘Da Nang Thank You 2020’ event, which will take place throughout this year with attractive discounts for visitors on a wide range of services and products; the ‘Da Nang Fantastic Beach’ programme, scheduled from July 1 to 31; the ‘Da Nang Fantastic Fortnight’ from November 23 to December 6; and the ‘Da Nang Fantastic Week’ from December 22 to 28.
