Quang Ninh, Da Nang cooperate to stimulate tourism

The Quang Ninh provincial Tourism Association and the Da Nang City Tourism Association signed a cooperation programme for tourism stimulation on June 8 under the witness of leaders from the two localities.

On the occasion, Vietnam national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and Van Don International Airport also signed a cooperation agreement.

The cooperation aims to create promotional and stimulus programmes to boost the recovery of the tourism industry with a focus on domestic visitors.

The sides are committed to support travel enterprises and business establishments to overcome difficulties after COVID-19 epidemic was put under control.

The Tourism Associations from Da Nang and Quang Ninh will mobilise and encourage enterprises and their members to join common programmes as well as develop discounts of 20-50% in many forms. The common stimulus programme will take place from June 10 to September 30.

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has built a plan to re-open the Da Nang - Van Don air route in the shortest time.

The airlines will coordinate with the tourism associations to develop preferential packages related to air tickets, hotels and other services.

In addition, Van Don International Airport pledged to reduce 70% of the basic ground service cost for domestic flights; provide free two-way bus tickets on the Van Don - Ha Long - Uong Bi route; and offer free entrance tickets to Ha Long Bay and the Yen Tu relic site.

Quang Ninh Province has set the goal of turning tourism into a key economic sector that will create a driving force for socio-economic development with high professionalism, synchronous and modern infrastructure and diverse products imbued with the local cultural identities.
