The move aims to stimulate domestic tourism and respond to a campaign encouraging Vietnamese people to travel to local destinations, as initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

With the newly added routes, the number of VNA domestic routes has now climbed to 57. So far, the airline has completely restored and expanded its domestic route network with an average of nearly 320 flights per day.

Specifically, the airline will offer four round-trip flights on the Da Nang – Phu Quoc route per week, departing from Da Nang at 9am and from Phu Quoc at 11.25am.

The Da Nang – Thanh Hoa route will have three round-trip flights per week, leaving Da Nang at 9am and Thanh Hoa at 10.50am.

Concerning the Da Lat – Hue route, VNA will operate four round-trip flights per week leaving Da Lat at 12.40pm and Hue at 2.35pm.

The national flag carrier will also offer another three round-trip flights per week for the Can Tho – Da Lat route, leaving Can Tho at 12pm and Da Lat at 1.50pm.

To celebrate the new routes, VNA is offering promotional tickets at VND546,000 (US$24) per leg, including taxes and fees, on these routes. In addition, to stimulate domestic tourism, the airline will continue to apply special airfares for the Hai Phong – Can Tho, Vinh – Can Tho, Hai Phong – Buon Me Thuot, and Can Tho – Buon Me Thuot routes. The discount programme is being applied to customers purchasing tickets until mid-July for flights departing no later than December 31, 2020.

To ensure the health and safety of passengers and the community, VNA still maintains disinfectant sprays for the entire fleet operated on the day, while implementing measures to inspect the health of passengers at the airport in line with regulations of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. In addition, the flight crew, including pilots and flight attendants, will be equipped with face masks and gloves, while all passengers on board will be requested to wear face masks throughout the flight.
