The recommencement of a number of services is one of the moves taken by Ba Ria - Vung Tau to restart tourism activities, which are a strength of the province that have been practically frozen for the past months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accordingly, almost all hotels and accommodation establishments in the localities have built tourism stimulus packages and promotion policies aimed at young families.

A local travel enterprise said that young families limited their children to travel in the last summer and now children are preparing to enter a new school year, thus, the organisation of a short trip for the whole family before the new school year is necessary. This is indeed an opportunity to restart tourism activities which have been essentially paralysed in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Director of Bien Dong Tourist Area Le Thanh Lam said that the resumption of tourism stimulation activities is crucial. However, the current problem is how to effectively implement the “dual goal” of both boosting tourism and ensuring pandemic prevention and control.

According to Director of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province’s Department of Tourism Trinh Hang, the department has asked all localities to increase management over tourism activities to ensure the province’s beautiful tourism images while effectively implementing measures for COVID-19 prevention and control.
