While the tourism industry in many countries around the world has been badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the fact that a large number of tourists choseDa Lat right at the beginning of the year opened up new hope and expectation for the development of the tourism industry in the "city of flowers".

Also in the morning of January 1, the Lam Dong provincial tourism sector organised a ceremony to welcome and present gifts to the first visitors to Da Lat by air.

The flight, No. VN7388 of Vietnam Airlines, departing from Ho Chi Minh City, arrived at Lien Khuong Airport at 6:48 am with no vacant seats. The 274 passengers on the flight were the first guests to Da Lat by air of the new year.

Measures on COVID-19 prevention and control have also been strictly implemented by functional units, local authorities and tourists.
