Hai Phong reopens tourist areas from October 1

Tourist attractions and scenic sites in Hai Phong city are being allowed to reopen for local guests from October 1.

On the morning of September 29, Hai Phong City People's Committee issued Document No. 7068/UBND-VX adjusting COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures and reopening a number of socio-economic activities.

Accordingly, in addition to the regulations on welcoming only local guests, the people directly guiding visitors must ensure one of the following conditions: having COVID-19 negative test results by rapid antigen test or RT-PCR within 72 hours; having a certificate of having received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine with the vaccine licensed by the Ministry of Health and at least 14 days since the last dose; or be declared recovered from Covid-19 according to regulations.

Along with that, accommodation establishments are allowed to organise eating and drinking on-site, but only serve guests staying there and strictly complying with regulations on COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control. Service staff have must been vaccinated at least once for COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to resuming work, and everyone must undergo a PCR test once a week and comply with the 5K regulations of the Ministry of Health.

Hai Phong City People's Committee also requires accommodation facilities, management boards of areas, tourist attractions, historical sites, and travel businesses to be responsible for checking tourists entering and visiting within the scope of management according to regulations, accountable to the City Steering Committee.

At the same time, Hai Phong city also allows religious, belief and worship establishments to operate to serve the needs of people in the city; however, must ensure no more than 20 people at a time or 50% of the capacity for places of religious and belief activities is exceeded.
