Ho Chi Minh City welcomes 341,000 international tourists in January

Nhan Dan – Ho Chi Minh City received about 341,000 international tourists in January 2013 an increase of 10 percent from the same period last year.

Out of the total number of international arrivals, the number of tourists travelling to Vietnam by air was 273,000.

The city’s total revenue from the tourism sector in January reached VND6,900 billion (US$331 million), up 20 percent compared to the same period in 2012.

The city expects to welcome 4.1 million international visitors and receive a gross total revenue of VND81,970 billion (US$3.935 billion) in 2013.
