Vietnam U-23 squad called up for SEA Games dream

Nhan Dan Online – The national U-23 football squad is scheduled to reconvene on August 25 to prepare for the mission of conquering the 27th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games to be held in Myanmar later this year.

Nine of the team’s 25 players will gather at the Youth Football Training Centre in Hanoi on Sunday to begin training, with the others joining in on September 5 following the conclusion of the V-League Eximbank 2013 season.

Vietnam U-23 will train in Hungary from September 11-23, playing friendly matches against Hungarian youth teams and football clubs.

The team will then return home to take part in the 2013 Ho Chi Minh City International Football Tournament, which will take place at Thong Nhat stadium from September 26-30. The tournament should be a good dress rehearsal ahead of the 27th SEA Games this December.
