Vietnam’s top tennis star Ly Hoang Nam proved his class as he won both the single’s and double’s titles at the 2021 National Men' & Women's Tennis Championship (VTF Masters 500-1), which wrapped up in Tay Ninh City on January 31.

Nam beat his teammate from Hai Dang Club – Trinh Linh Giang – in the men’s singles final yesterday, having also been crowned champion in the men's doubles the day before.

The first set was somewhat tedious as Nam was too strong against his opponent with a 6-0 victory. Into set 2, the 23-year-old player continued to display his outstanding performance. Giang's efforts in this set were only game wins, before letting Nam win a break in the 8th game to set a 6-3 victory, thereby snatching the championship title.

Also, on Sunday (Jan 31), Dao Minh Trang beat no. 1 seed Tran Thuy Thanh Truc 6-3, 6-4 to be crowned winner of the women's singles championship title.
