ASEAN Culture and Tourism Pavilion opens in Seoul

The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) held a ceremony to launch the ASEAN Culture and Tourism Pavilion in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (ROK), on November 4.

The opening event was attended by AKC Secretary General Lee Hyuk, Vietnamese Ambassador to the ROK Nguyen Vu Tung, Singaporean Ambassador to the RoK Eric Teo, Honorary Ambassador of the ASEAN-Korea Centre Keum Nana, and Korean singer Kim Jun-su.

The pavilion is set to remain open to the public until November 25 with a wide range of handicraft products, fabric, furniture, books and digital devices on display introducing the cultures of ASEAN nations from different angles. Visitors are provided an opportunity to experience memories about Southeast Asian nations in the form of colour, scent and sound in the event.

It forms part of the “ASEAN Culture and Tourism Showcase 2020” which presents tourist attractions, cultures and authentic delicacies of the ten ASEAN countries. An ASEAN Tourism Promotion Booth & Photo Exhibition, Programme “Best Cooking Secrets” and publication of “ASEAN Culinary Art Book” will also be held during the event.
