NDO - Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on September 20 sent a message to everyone celebrating the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival in Australia and around the world, including Vietnam.

In his message, he stressed that the Moon Festival is a celebration that crosses cultures, countries and traditions.

“It is a time for togetherness and thanksgiving, shared with family and friends,” he wrote, adding that the festival also embodies the generous sharing of history and heritage that is the foundation of our unity and harmony.

He noted that the sights and sounds of this year’s festival in Australia would be subdued as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to restrict the celebrations.

Therefore, he called on people to get vaccinated in order to take the opportunity to gather with family and friends again.

“It is a future we can all aspire to with confidence and joy,” he asserted with his hope that the moon of this year’s festival shines brightly to uplift and inspire everyone.
