The country shipped more than 3,89 million tonnes of agricultural products, besides milled rice and paddy rice, to 68 countries and territories during the period, the Cambodia news agency AKP quoted the ministry as saying.

A report by the ministry showed that the main exported agricultural products included cassava, cashew nuts, corn, fresh banana, pomelos, mangos, pepper, and chili.

While the export of corn, tobacco, and mixed vegetables saw a decline, that of fresh chili, fresh banana, pomelos, mango products (fresh, jam, syrup), cashew nuts, soybeans, beans, and pepper increased sharply, from 45 to over 100 percent.

The report said Cambodia’s agricultural exports from January to September generated an estimated income of about US$2.71 billion.

Last year, Cambodia exported US$4.37 billion worth of agricultural products, up US$500 million from 2019, the ministry reported.
