* Chairman of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un left for Russia on a private train at dawn on Wednesday, state media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported. Kim was accompanied by senior party, state and military officials.

* The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said Tuesday that it had detained nine suspected terrorists in the country's Far East and North Caucasus.

* The World Health Organization (WHO) has counted 264 civilians and combatants killed in nearly three weeks of fighting on the outskirts of Tripoli, Libya, a UN spokesman said on Tuesday.

* Spokesman of Libya's eastern-based army on Tuesday said the army's air force targeted a military camp of the UN-backed government's forces in the west of the capital Tripoli, as both sides continue fighting.

* A multinational team of climbers have reached the top of Mt. Annapurna, the 8,091-meter peak, recording the first successful summit to the mountain above 8,000 meters from the sea level in this spring season, Nepal's Department of Tourism said.
