Japanese, RoK foreign ministers to meet in Beijing on Aug.21

Japan's foreign minister Taro Kono will meet his Republic of Korea (RoK) counterpart, Kang Kyung-wha, in Beijing on August 21, a Japanese foreign ministry official said on August 19, amid deteriorating relations between the two East Asian countries.

The talks will come during a trip to Beijing from August 20-22 for a meeting with their Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, the first such trilateral gathering in three years.
