The General Election to elect representatives to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term has concluded. From mountainous and border regions to remote islands, from urban areas to deep villages, the image of voters eagerly casting their ballots has become a vivid symbol of the people’s right to self-governance.
All members of a family dress up for the special occasion, often referred to as the “National Festival”, jointly casting their votes to elect representatives worthy of the people and the country.

Special ballots spread civic responsibility

On March 15, voters across the country eagerly headed to the polls to exercise their rights and fulfil their civic duties. Among them were first-time voters who had just come of age, feeling both excited and slightly nervous, as well as families and couples who enthusiastically went to cast their ballots together.

Commitments reflected in action programmes

Candidates running for seats in the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels in Ha Noi for the 2026–2031 term have been meeting voters and conducting election campaigns. The meetings also serve as a forum for citizens to exercise their democratic rights, expressing their trust and expectations toward those who may represent their will and aspirations.

Digital transformation creates a strong shift in the operation of the National Assembly

According to Doctor Tran Van Khai, digital transformation opens a strong shift in the mode of operation of the National Assembly, from legislation and supervision to deciding important issues of the country; at the same time creating a more transparent and convenient foundation for election work and building a digital National Assembly that is closer to voters in the new period.
