PVFCCo:

20 years of building the brand “responsibility and sharing”

During its 20 years of development, PVFCCo has always allocated funding for social security work, whether its business is favourable or challenging, as PVFCCo’s board of directors believe that social security is part of the corporation’s operating strategy and sustainable development. Social security work is as important as production and business activities. That is why “Responsibility - Sharing” has become a beautiful culture and one of the core values that the company has diligently cultivated over the years.

JOINING HANDS IN
CHERISHING PEOPLE’S DREAMS

After twenty years of development, PVFCCo has established its position as one of the leading fertiliser producers in Vietnam. PVFCCo’s effective operations have brought harmonious benefits to its stakeholders, such as investors, employees, the State and the Vietnamese economy, especially farmers.

In addition, by thoroughly grasping the Party, State and Government’s views and policies, as well as PetroVietnam’s culture of “kindness and gratitude”, and with the responsibility of an enterprise that is the symbol of an alliance between workers and farmers, utilising the country’s resources to serve the people, along with efforts to do effective business, PVFCCo also prioritises resources and investments to successfully carry out social security work over the years. Joining hands to implement social security with responsibility and devotion has long been one of PVFCCo’s top missions and “sharing” culture.

PVFCCo has jointly nurtured and fulfilled the dreams of many families with nearly 1,200 billion VND for short-term and long-term social security activities across all regions of the country, spanning all fields of health, education, building great unity houses, humanitarian reliefs, etc.

Over the past 20 years, in addition to providing agricultural products and materials to fertilise plants and help bumper crops, PVFCCo has jointly nurtured and promoted the dreams of many families with nearly 1,200 billion VND for short-term and long-term social security activities across all regions of the country, spanning all fields of health, education, building great unity houses, humanitarian reliefs, etc.

PVFCCo's projects aim at long-term activities according to the Government's programme in collaboration with the Fatherland Front at all levels and localities, focusing on many areas including health, education, building great unity houses,  humanitarian reliefs and support to overcome natural disasters, conducting island projects and showing gratitude.

Also, over the past 20 years of development, nearly 300 medical-educational projects and rural bridges have been built by PVFCCo. These projects have contributed to the development, changing the face of the countryside, helping to ensure people's health care and improving the quality of education. More medical facilities, treated patients, and schools will lay a foundation for a brighter future!

In addition to the projects, over the past 20 years, PVFCCo has donated hundreds of thousands of gifts to aid victims of natural disasters, given Tet gifts to the poor and joined the administration to help many people overcome crises and difficult times.

SOCIAL SECURITY WORK IS
AS IMPORTANT AS BUSINESS PRODUCTION

Greater and more meaningful than the numbers mentioned above, it is the heart, affection, and commitment of the leaders and employees of PVFCCo towards agriculture, rural areas and Vietnamese farmers.

During 20 years of establishment and development, every year, whether operations are favourable or challenging, PVFCCo has allocated a source of funding for social security work. PVFCCo's Board of Directors believes social security is part of the Corporation's operating strategy and sustainable development. Social security is important in production and business activities. That is why "Responsibility - Sharing" has become a cultural beauty, one of the core values that the business has diligently cultivated over the years.

In implementing social security work, PVFCCo has implemented a series of practical support programmes, from selecting the correct subjects and meeting the needs to mobilising a large force of officials and employees, the agent system coordinates with localities and organisations such as the Fatherland Front Committee and the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

Wherever people encounter difficulties or uncertainties in life, PVFCCo is there promptly to encourage, share and support. The image of PVFCCo officials and representatives coming to flood and landslide areas just two - three days after rainstorms swept through the central region is vivid proof of that. Not afraid of difficulties and possible dangers, PVFCCo's delegations always arrange to go to the most remote and difficult areas to help people as quickly as possible.

A leader of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in the central region shared: “In addition to bringing meaningful gifts during the trips, the PVFCCo's delegations also brought great affection and encouragement. Material and spiritual help is a source of encouragement, helping people have more resources and motivation to overcome difficult times!”

When natural disasters or agricultural product prices plummet, PVFCCo also quickly provides support by donating free fertiliser, helping farmers have more resources to reproduce and overcome difficulties.

Besides the donation of fertilizers, farmers were given detailed instructions by PVFCCo staff and local agricultural officials on how to use fertilizers most effectively and economically in their fields.

When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out throughout the country, a period of unprecedented difficulty and social distancing, PVFCCo had overcome challenges to conduct practical welfare programmes such as building grassroots health stations, contributing to the Vaccine Fund for epidemic prevention, and donating ambulances, medical equipment, and food to people affected by the pandemic. All programmes demonstrated PVFCCo’s sense of sharing during the pandemic.

In addition to urgent assistance, PVFCCo also organises annual assistance programmes, with the most highlight being the programme entitled “Xuan yeu thuong – Tet se chia” (Spring of love - Tet of sharing).

PVFCCo held a ‘Xuan yeu thuong-Tet se chia’ programme in spring 2023 which presented nearly 30,000 gifts worth about 20 billion VND to needy people. The programme was organised in nearly 200 communes and wards in 50 provinces and cities nationwide, contributing to taking care of disadvantaged people to help them have a warmer Tet.

PVFCCo always considers social security as a top mission and responsibility to the community, especially when the beneficiaries of PVFCCo's social security activities are farmers, who are also the users of Phu My fertiliser products. PVFCCo's implementation of social welfare activities is among its efforts to concretise the motto ‘Enterprise development coupled with social responsibility’ and one of PVFCCo's core cultural values, ‘Responsibility – Sharing’.

Through its social welfare programmes, PVFCCo affirms that it will always stand side by side with farmers in ensuring national food security. It has helped PVFCCo tighten strong and close relations with farmers.

Sharing is a good cultural tradition that has been further promoted by the PVFCCo, with the aspiration to facilitate Vietnamese agriculture, rural areas and farmers on the path of development and prosperity in the future.
