The statement was made by member of Party Central Committee (PCC), Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications and Education, Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and Chairman of Vietnam Journalists’ Association Le Quoc Minh at a conference on communication cooperation between Lao Cai and Nhan Dan Newspaper in the 2021-2025 period which was held in the northern mountainous province on February 17.
At the conference, Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phong reviewed the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development that the province has gained over the past years.
He also noted that Lao Cai’s results witnessed the significant contributions from Nhan Dan Newspaper, while expressing his hope that the central Party newspaper would continue to boost the propaganda of the province’s image.
The communication cooperation between Nhan Dan Newspaper and Lao Cai Province aims to enhance the communications of Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and laws among the local cadres, Party members and people; promote the image of the land and people of the locality and its achievements in socio-economic development; and introduce the province’s potential and strength to both domestic and foreign investors.

Addressing the conference, Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh noted that in its role as a strategic information agency of the Party and State, Nhan Dan Newspaper has always provided readers with accurate, rapid, objective and reliable information. The newspaper has strived to become a strong multimedia agency with many types of press information, he added.
Following the signing ceremony, the Nhan Dan Newspaper leader said that the newspaper will develop a specific plan. The units under Nhan Dan Newspaper will pay much attention to supporting Lao Cai in the propaganda of the locality’s socio-economic development, domestic and foreign affairs and other activities via the newspaper’s publications and information channels.
On the occasion, Nhan Dan Newspaper presented a photo of the banyan tree at its headquarters to Lao Cai Province. Meanwhile, Lao Cai Province gave its logo to Nhan Dan Newspaper and a certificate of merit to the leaders of the Management Board of Representative Correspondents of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
