President Lee’s selection of Viet Nam as an early destination for a state visit was seen as carrying both political and symbolic importance, reflecting the country’s high regard for Viet Nam and the growing level of trust and strategic prioritisation in bilateral ties.
He also thanked the authorities and people of Guangxi for preserving the Yucai School relic and other historical sites associated with President Ho Chi Minh, turning them into “red addresses” symbolising the enduring ties between the two nations.
