At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and his spouse, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam To Lam, together with his spouse and a high-level Vietnamese delegation, will pay a state visit to China from April 14 to 17, 2026.

At the invitation of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico is paying an official visit to Viet Nam from April 12 to 14, 2026. This marks the first visit by a high-ranking Slovak leader to Viet Nam since 2017.

At the invitations of IPU President Tulia Ackson and IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, his spouse, and a high-level Vietnamese delegation will attend the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-152) in Istanbul, undertake a number of bilateral activities in Türkiye, and pay an official visit to Italy from April 11 to 17.

At the invitation of Samdech Say Chhum, Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Chairman of the Standing Board of the CPP Central Committee, Tran Cam Tu, Politburo Member and Permanent Member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee Secretariat, is leading a high-level Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to Cambodia on April 10.

At the invitation of Vilay Lakhamphong, Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee, Tran Cam Tu, Politburo Member and Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, led a high-level Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on April 9, 2026.

To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, will lead a high-level Vietnamese delegation on a state visit to Laos on February 5, 2026, at the invitation of Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The 14th National Party Congress was a great success, opening a new stage of national development in a new context with new goals. Eighty years ago, on January 6, 1946, voters across the country were moved and proud to hold in their hands for the first time the ballots to elect the National Assembly — the highest organ of state power of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam.

The 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress themed “Emulating reform and creativity, accelerating breakthroughs to propel the nation into an era of strong, civilised and prosperous development” is taking place in Ha Noi on December 27.
