Seventy-eight years ago, after the great victory of the August Revolution, on September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh delivered the Declaration of Independence, marking the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The August Revolution is a glorious milestone in Vietnamese history. This is the first State visit to Vietnam by the RoK President, and Vietnam is also the first Southeast Asian country that the leader has visited since he took office in May 2022.

At the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, President of Côte d’Ivoire's National Assembly Adama Bictogo is lead a high-ranking delegation of the West African country on an official visit to Vietnam from June 13-16.

75 years ago, on June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued the call for patriotic emulation, officially launching the patriotic emulation movement throughout the country.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is paying an official visit to Vietnam from June 3 to 4 at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The visit, which is the first official visit to Vietnam by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese since taking office, takes place as Vietnam and Australia are celebrating their 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1973-2023).

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the fourth Mekong River Commission (MRC) Summit in Vientiane, Laos, on April 5, at the invitation of the Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone. The summit is an important regional forum to promote peace and mutually beneficial cooperation for the sustainable development of the Mekong River Basin.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation are paying official visits to the Republic of Singapore and Brunei Darussalam from February 8-11 at the invitations of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

Fifty years ago, on January 27, 1973, the Paris Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam was formally signed, marking a significant milestone in the glorious revolution of the Vietnamese people and Vietnamese diplomacy.
