Seventy-five years ago, President Ho Chi Minh travelled to Thanh Hoa Province from the Viet Bac revolutionary base to meet provincial officials, scholars, intellectuals and people.

During the visit, the late leader assigned Thanh Hoa with the task of becoming a model province.

Bearing President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching in mind, Thanh Hoa has recorded important and comprehensive achievements in all fields over the past 75 years, contributing to the overall national development.

Despite facing the severe impacts of COVID-19, Thanh Hoa’s economy still expanded by 8.85%, with its economic size ranking 8th among 63 provinces and cities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Thanh Hoa Party Secretary Do Trong Hung emphasised that Thanh Hoa will strive to become a leading province and growth driver throughout the northern region.

In order to realise such targets, Thanh Hoa will implement a range of measures to restore and bolster socio-economic development, said Hung.
