Vietnamese Ambassador to Madagascar presents credentials

The Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique and Madagascar, Le Huy Hoang, presented his credentials to President of Madagascar Hery Rajaonarimampianina at a ceremony in Antananarivo on August 23.

Speaking at the reception, President Rajaonarimampianina sent his good wishes to high ranking Vietnamese leaders and affirmed that Madagascar always attaches great importance to promoting its time-honoured friendship and cooperation with Vietnam.

The President also expressed his wish that the two countries’ cooperation will develop in a more practical manner, especially in such fields as economics, investment, telecommunications and agriculture.

He praised Vietnam for sharing its experience with Madagascar in socio-economic development and promised to actively support Vietnam’s candidacy for a seat at the UN Security Council for 2020-2021.

For his part, Ambassador Le Huy Hoang conveyed his best wishes from Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and other senior leaders of Vietnam to President Hery Rajaonarimampianina and expressed his wish that the Government and people of Madagascar will continue to gain more achievements in developing the country.

Affirming that Vietnam attaches great importance to the development of its time-honoured friendship with Madagascar, the Ambassador said he hopes to work closely with relevant ministries and sectors of Madagascar during his term to contribute to promoting the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries.
