Book set on the history of Ho Chi Minh City administration released

The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony on April 22 to release and introduce a book set entitled “History of the Administration in Ho Chi Minh City during 1945 – 2015”.

The event was held for the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-2022).

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City Huynh Thanh Nhan said the release of the book set aimed to summarise comprehensively and systematically the process of formation and development of the city's administration, organisation and operation, through arduous but heroic journeys, both in wartime and peacetime.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai emphasised that the book set is considered not only an official and valuable reference source for the study of Ho Chi Minh City’s tradition and the city’s administration but also a place to keep the unforgettable imprints and memories of generations of historical witnesses who have been contributing to the construction, protection and development of the city.
