Ha made the statement on June 7 at a banquet hosted by the Russian Embassy in Vietnam to mark the 34th anniversary of Russia’s National Day and the 30th anniversary of a treaty on the basic principles of Vietnam-Russia relations.

The Vietnamese government leader noted that the Vietnam-Russia relationship is becoming increasingly strengthened, covering a wide range of areas from politics and defence and security to trade, investment, science, technology, education and healthcare.

He added that the relationship is a shared invaluable asset of both countries and their peoples and needs to be constantly nurtured and passed on to current and future generations.

According to Deputy PM Ha, this is an important moment for the two sides to honour the past achievements, seize current opportunities, and create a roadmap for a future built on shared values, trust, and mutual benefits.

For his part, Russian Ambassador Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko shared that since Vietnam and Russia established their comprehensive strategic partnership, the time-honoured friendly relationship has been growing strongly in all fields.

He added that Russia attaches importance to further strengthening the friendship with Vietnam, one of its key partners in Southeast Asia, towards peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world.
