The event, attended by Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Phan Van Mai, is an opportunity to recognise the contributions of entrepreneurs to the city’s socio-economic and cultural development.

This year saw 93 enterprises and 84 entrepreneurs selected by the Ho Chi Minh City government as the city’s outstanding examples.

The city also awarded certificates of merits to 38 enterprises and 28 entrepreneurs who have won the title for four consecutive years, which demonstrates the resilience of the city’s business community.

It is notable that about one quarter of the honoured enterprises and entrepreneurs are newcomers.

The 93 businesses honoured in 2024 posted total revenue of 244 trillion VND in the two years of 2022-2023, contributing 16.4 trillion to the state budget.

They are also creating stable jobs for over 58,200 people.
