Hai congratulated the Lao people on their significant socio-economic achievements obtained under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party. He also emphasised the solidarity and close bonds between the people of Ho Chi Minh City and Laos and hoped to intensify cooperative activities to further deepen the Vietnam-Laos relationship.
While highlighting the positive outcomes of friendship activities between Ho Chi Minh City and Lao localities and partners in recent years, he proposed that both sides explore and roll out new collaborative programmes that leverage their respective strengths to foster effective and substantial exchanges and partnership.
Hai affirmed that HCM City always commits to enhancing the multifaceted cooperation with Lao localities, so as to help preserve and nurture the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. He stressed the responsibility of the present generation to actively contribute to maintaining and strengthening the Vietnam-Laos relationship which has been built and cultivated by the leaders and people of both nations, serving as a model of pure international friendship.
For his part, Lao Deputy Consul General Amphay Souvannaseng expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the wholehearted assistance provided by the Vietnamese government and people to Laos during national construction and development. He also thanked HCM City for its dedicated and effective assistance to Lao localities as well as the best possible condition given to the Lao community, particularly students here.
