The exhibitions have attracted over 170 companies from countries across the globe, including those from Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Italy, Turkey, Russia, and Singapore, among others.

Almost 300 stands from domestic and international enterprises are displaying technologies and equipment for thermal and nuclear power plants, solar and wind power and other alternative energies, as well as electrical transmission systems including transformers, meters, insulators, and other electrical tools.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Phuong Dong stated that the two exhibitions offer local and foreign exhibitors a chance to compare notes and explore business opportunities together, as well as showcase their technologies and products.

The event is also regarded as a good opportunity to promote trade and exchange technologies, which will in turn help to develop the country’s electrical industry and expansion into the international market, he said.

Several conferences on promoting green production and consumption to protect the environment will be held on the fringes of the events, he noted.

The event is jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation and C.I.S Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition Joint Stock Company.
