From 2011 to 2013, 180 SOEs were restructured including the equitisation of 99 enterprises. To date, the number of equitised enterprises reaches more than 4,000 large-scale companies. After equitisation, most enterprises see good growth and operate efficiently, which helps increase the competitiveness of the national economy.
Due to a slow pace of equitisation over the last three years, there remains more than 430 companies needing equitisation by 2015; a huge task of the restructuring process.
Enterprises will be rearranged dependent on its field of operation, with the first restructuring set for industry, trade, transport and construction companies.
Head of the Steering Committee for Corporate Renewal and Development, Pham Viet Muon said that equitisation is a difficult stage in the restructuring process which requires special attention from the Government and relevant parties as well as breakthrough solutions to be successful.
