Nam Xuan Commune currently has nine villages with 1,816 households and 8,077 people, including nine ethnic groups living together. Of which ethnic minorities from the northern provinces (Thai and Tay-Nung) account for about 85%.
In recent years, the socio-economy of the commune has been constantly developing, and the people's material, cultural and spiritual life has changed a lot. With the advantage of fertile land, irrigation works, interwoven ponds, lakes and streams, local people have focused on developing several key industrial crops with high and sustainable economic value, such as rubber, pepper, coffee, fruit trees, etc. The livestock industry has also developed significantly, with many large-scale farms invested with billions of VND.
Along with economic development, people's spiritual life has gradually improved. The commune has 1,484/1,583 households achieving the cultural family standard, reaching 93.7% and 9/9 villages achieving the cultural village standard in 2024. The poverty rate is only 2.7%, and near-poor households are 7.4%. The authorities and people of Nam Xuan Commune have preserved and promoted the cultural identity of the local ethnic groups.
Speaking to share the joy with the people at the Festival, NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong praised the results that the people and authorities of Nam Xuan Commune, Krong No District and Dak Nong Province have achieved in the past time.
At the same time, he emphasised that national solidarity has become a valuable cultural, traditional and political value for the Vietnamese people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
After 37 years of construction and development, Krong No District has become an important socio-economic region of the province, with the economic structure shifting in the right direction. In particular, tourism has developed strongly with the UNESCO Dak Nong Global Geopark.
In the coming time, he asked the Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front Committees and mass organisations of Dak Nong Province, Krong No District and Nam Xuan Commune to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, the achieved results, and focus on well implementing key tasks.
