Speaking at the congress, on behalf of the NA Standing Committee, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan praised the results achieved by the Office in its emulation and commendation work during the 2015-2020 period; as well as acknowledging the contributions made by cadres, civil servants and employees of the Office to the common duties of the NA in the past five years.

The NA leader also highly lauded the fact that the NA Office has deployed a number of practical emulation movements in association with the implementation of political tasks.

She suggested the NA Office continue to thoroughly grasp, deploy and raise awareness of the implementation of emulation work in a more effective and practical manner in the time to come.

The NA Chairwoman noted that the Office should focus on promoting emulation movements associated with building a clean and strong Party in order to improve the capacity and fighting strength of Party grassroots organisations.

Accordingly, patriotic emulation should be attached to the implementation of the Politburo’s Directive 05-CT/TW on accelerating the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideas, ethics and style, she added.

On the occasion, five collectives and 24 individuals received the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the National Assembly Office for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement during the 2015-2020 period.
