National Assembly seeks ways to improve the effectiveness of its communication activities

On October 14, Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man chaired the first session of the Steering Committee, of the scheme to improve communication effectiveness, on the activities of the 15th NA.

Speaking at the session, NA Standing Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man, said that in recent years, especially during the 15th National Assembly term, the NA Party Delegation and NA leaders have always paid attention and closely directed the NA Office to constantly improve and innovate the contents and methods of information and communication work, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the NA’s operations.

In the Action Programme of the NA Party Delegation to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the NA Office has been assigned to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies, in developing the scheme to improve communication effectiveness on the activities of the 15th NA.

The formulation and promulgation of the scheme are considered as one of the solutions to establish the policy framework of the NA, its agencies, and the NA Standing Committee and to develop a methodical and effective communication plan, contributing to enhancing publicity and transparency and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the NA’s operations; strengthen the interaction between the NA, NA deputies, voters and people; develop communication work on the activities of the NA under its role and position as the elected body.

The NA Standing Vice Chairman emphasised that communication about the NA’s activities, needs to promote the synergy of news agencies and newspapers from the central to local levels so that people can understand and grasp the activities and decisions of the NA; contributing to the implementation of the motto “People know, people discuss, people do, and people monitor”, so that people can live and work following the Constitution and the law.
