At the meeting, PM Phuc sent greetings to the PM and people of Cambodia on the occasion of the country’s traditional New Year festival, Chol Chnam Thmay.

Expressing their delight at the strong growth of the Vietnam-Cambodia ties, both PMs agreed to continue effectively implementing the two countries’ high-level agreement of 2019, increase the number of visits and high-level meetings, and regularly sustain cooperation mechanisms between the sides.

They also discussed various key issues of bilateral relations at the current time.

PM Phuc suggested the Cambodian government and PM Hun Sen himself give priority to creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese Cambodians in the country to live and work in accordance with local law.
