Prof. Dr. Pham Gia Khai, 84, is former president of the Viet Nam National Heart Association and former deputy head of the Central Committee on Health Care for Senior Governmental Officials. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Le Duc Hinh, 85, is former President of the Vietnam Neurological Association.
At the visits, Politburo member Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his sincere thanks to the two professors for their dedication and contributions to the development of the country’s healthcare sector, and wished them longevity and happiness.
He also informed the two professors on the city’s socio-economic achievements in 2019, and the city’s effort to prevent and control the Covid-19 outbreak, thus calling for their support to improve people’s health, and ensure social welfare.
The same day, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan visited Military Hospital 175, during which he extended his best wishes to doctors, nurses and staff members on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day.

He also spoke highly of the hospital’s achievements over the past recent years.
In addition to serving as a military medical research centre and a training facility for the Ministry of Defence, the Military Hospital 175 is tasked with caring for people’s health.
Particularly, the hospital has also contributed to the deployment of the first Level-2 Field Hospital, which participated in the UN peacekeeping mission.
Also, on the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, Politburo member Nguyen Thien Nhan saluted Labour Hero and former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital Prof. Nguyen Chan Hung, and Prof. Dr. Dang Van Phuoc, former Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
