Da Nang hosts science conference for medical-pharmaceutical universities

The 18th National Youth Science and Technology Conference for Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities and Colleges officially kicked off on May 17 in Da Nang.

The three-day event draws the participation of more than 1,000 students and lecturers from 32 medical and pharmaceutical universities and colleges around the country.

During the conference, 13 professional councils will evaluate 174 scientific subjects in the field of medicine and pharmacy including internal medicine, surgery, traditional medicine and nursing.

The increase in both scale and number of participants and subjects, as well as the diversity in medical and pharmaceutical research at this conference, showed the extensive development of scientific research activities among the youth.

The event offers an opportunity for medical and pharmaceutical scientists, lecturers and students to share and discuss their experience as well as new professional discoveries and methods.

The subjects will be a base for improving the quality of healthcare services for people, contributing the development of the Vietnamese medical sector.

Over the past two years, medical students have published 270 articles in international medical and pharmaceutical magazines, showing the passion for learning and research, as well as desire for international integration.
