Assoc. Prof., Dr. Luong was honoured for his outstanding achievements in labour and creativity in the 2009 - 2019 period for the cause of socialism and national construction.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen acknowledged and affirmed the dedication and professional contributions of Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Ngoc Luong in turning the NHE into a leading domestic and regional centre for the detection and treatment of endocrine diseases and metabolic disorders, and a reliable destination not only for patients but also for international colleagues and friends.
He urged the NHE to strengthen communication and raise public awareness of prevention, screening and early detection of diabetes and thyroid cancer so that the people have a better understanding of the risks of these diseases.
An important highlight which has significantly contributed to the success of the NHE is the endoscopic thyroid surgical technology developed by Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Ngoc Luong, one of the techniques improving the NHE’s reputation both at home and abroad.
His thesis on "Research and application of laparoscopic surgery to treat several thyroid diseases" has achieved the excellent State level grade for scientific research and won the first prize at the Vietnam Talent Awards 2014.
