The project was co-organised by the 175 Military Hospital and the Project Vietnam Foundation (PVNF).

After free medical checks-up, all children with cleft lip and palate were provided with free operations and health care.

Additionally, the transportation costs for patients and their families were also provided by the organisers.

Established in 1996, PVNF is a non-governmental organisation of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

This is the first time the organisation has co-ordinated with the 175 Military Hospital to provide surgery for children with congenital facial deformities in the south, especially in the Central Highlands and remote areas.

Over the past 19 years, PVNF has offered free surgeries to children with cleft lip and palate in 36 northern provinces and cities.
