The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) on August 25 hosted a gathering to celebrate the 58th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (August 8, 1967 –2025) and the 30th anniversary of Viet Nam’s accession to the bloc (July 28, 1995).

ASEAN and China reaffirmed commitment to advance their comprehensive strategic partnership at the 24th ASEAN-China Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting held at the ASEAN Secretariat on March 17.

On behalf of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Vietnamese Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang affirmed the bloc’s strong commitment to enhance development cooperation at a general debate of the Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Affairs Committee of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly on September 29.
