At the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister and Chair of ASEAN 2022 Samdech Techo Hu n Sen , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is paying an official visit to Cambodia to attend the 40th and 41st Summits of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related summits in Phnom Penh.
With 4,532 martyrs’ graves — most containing the remains of those who fell during the resistance war against French colonial rule — where the condition of the bones may make sampling difficult, Ha Noi is expediting the collection of samples for DNA analysis throughout August and September, aiming to complete the process before October 10, 2026.
