Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet has paid a working visit to Varna – Bulgaria’s leading maritime economic and shipbuilding hub, highlighting the countries' significant potential for cooperation in the maritime sector.

Viet Nam always attaches importance to the consolidation and enhancement of relations with traditional friends, with Bulgaria regarded as a priority partner, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet.

A workshop marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and six Central and Eastern European countries – Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria – was held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ha Noi on June 26.

President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Tsvetan Simeonov has highlighted Viet Nam’s strategic role as a key partner in Southeast Asia and proposed expanding business ties in key areas such as trade, technology, and investment.

Educational and cultural ties form a longstanding and sustainable bridge between Viet Nam and Bulgaria, paving the way for collaboration across numerous other fields, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has said.

Expressing his delight at new developments in the relations between Viet Nam and Bulgaria, President Rumen Radev said he hopes trade between the two countries will continue to grow.

President Vo Van Thuong on March 3 extended greetings to his Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Radev on the occasion of the Day of Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Dominion (Bulgaria’s national day – March 3, 1878-2023).
