A bilateral investment promotion conference between Cambodia’s Stung Treng province and Viet Nam’s Gia Lai province was held in Stung Treng city on June 18, aiming to strengthen investment and business ties between the two localities.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on June 17 presented the Friendship Order, one of the Vietnamese State’s highest honours, to Chea Kimtha, former Cambodian Ambassador to Viet Nam, in recognition of her significant contributions to strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.

The remains were recovered during the 2025–2026 dry-season search and repatriation mission conducted by Team K52 of the Gia Lai provincial Military Command.

Viet Nam always attaches importance to and gives top priority to consolidating and developing its relationship of “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability” with Cambodia, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Gen. Phan Van Giang.

The remains of 27 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who gave their lives while serving on international missions in Cambodia were laid to rest on June 4, at the Dak Lak provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery after a memorial and burial service.

The Khmer-Viet Nam Association in Cambodia continues to uphold the spirit of solidarity and responsibility while maintaining close attention to the community, strengthening relations with local authorities, and building an increasingly strong association movement.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu led a working delegation to the northeastern Cambodian provinces of Stung Treng and Kratie from May 19-22 to promote cooperation between Vietnamese localities and the two Cambodian provinces.
