The Vietnamese Government has issued Resolution 235/NQ-CP approving the Implementation Agreement on carbon credits collaboration under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement on climate change between the Vietnamese and Singaporean governments.

Viet Nam officially launched its domestic carbon exchange at the Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX) on June 29, marking a major step in linking environmental responsibility with economic incentives and advancing the country’s green growth agenda.

On the journey toward Net Zero, alongside efforts to curb emissions, harnessing and accumulating carbon credits from nature is an effective solution. Recently, Vietnamese scientists have identified a natural carbon source with large reserves and high average storage capacity within mangrove forest ecosystems.

The Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) in preparation for the 19th Viet Nam–Singapore Connectivity Ministerial Meeting (CMM) was held on September 22 in Ha Noi in a hybrid format, with the participation of delegates from both countries.
