The Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress clearly identified the objective of positioning Vietnam as a destination for international events. The designation of the Phu Quoc special administrative zone as the venue for the 2027 APEC Leaders’ Meeting is a great honour for the country and an opportunity for the Pearl Island to affirm its role as a regional- and global-level centre for the economy, tourism and external relations.
