General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee and President To Lam chaired a working session in Ha Noi on August 27 with its Commission for Organisation and relevant agencies to review progress on Conclusion 21-KL/TW, issued on October 25, 2021 by the 13th CPV Central Committee to strengthen Party building and rectification and build a clean, strong and comprehensive political system capable of meeting new-era development requirements.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee and President To Lam has called for fundamental reforms in personnel work, from expanding and diversifying talent sources to strengthening evaluation and data-based governance, to build a high-quality contingent of officials capable of meeting Viet Nam’s development requirements through 2030 and toward 2045.

General Secretary and President To Lam said the review of the Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW implementation is an important political task in the building of the Party and the political system. It should examine how the Party exercises its leadership and ruling role and how the entire political system translates the Party’s guidelines and policies into action and concrete results.

Party General Secretary To Lam chaired a working session with the Party Central Committee's Commission for Organisation in Ha Noi on March 5 morning to discuss solutions to improve the quality of grassroots officials, during which he highlighted that improving grassroots officials' quality must remain a regular and strategic task as it plays a decisive role in strengthening governance capacity, administrative effectiveness and the implementation of the country’s political missions.
