Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh showed his belief that building on its 80-year proud tradition, the diplomatic sector will continue to play a pioneering role, fostering unity and creativity, achieving even greater accomplishments, contributing to the nation’s efforts to firmly enter into a new era of prosperity, civilisation, and happiness.

The Government has issued Resolution No. 292/NQ-CP on the Plan for Building and Developing Viet Nam’s Diplomatic Service to 2030, with a vision towards 2045 (the Plan).

Party General Secretary To Lam has urged the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue closely coordinating with central and local agencies to proactively, cohesively, and effectively carry out foreign affairs and international integration tasks.

Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Party Central Committee Office, has been assigned as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.

As Viet Nam is entering a new era, the diplomatic sector is committed to continuing to write the glorious history of diplomacy in the Ho Chi Minh era, being dedicated to serving the country and the people, promoting the spirit of pioneering, and proactively creating momentum and position to help the nation firmly progress towards new development milestones, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.
