Liu Jinsong, director general of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, held consultations with Masaaki Kanai, director-general of the Japanese Foreign Ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, on Tuesday in Beijing, according to a Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
