US Ambassador Marc Evans Knapper on January 13 received Viet Nam’s Friendship Order for his contributions to consolidating and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries during his tenure in Viet Nam.

The Friendship Order, the highest distinction granted by the Vietnamese State to foreigners, has been bestowed upon Anatoli Dmitrievich Artamonov, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on the Budget and Financial Markets and former Governor of Kaluga Oblast.

The noble order was awarded to the outgoing ambassador in recognition of his outstanding contributions to strengthening and developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Indonesia during his tenure.
