General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee To Lam and General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith co-chaired a high-level meeting between the two Parties in Vientiane on December 2.

The 48th meeting of the Viet Nam–Laos Inter-Governmental Committee is of special significance as it takes place immediately after the high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), and at a time when the two countries are reviewing the implementation of cooperation agreements for 2021–2025 period and discuss orientations for a new period of more intensive and strategic collaboration.

Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam, and Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith on December 1 witnessed the exchange of bilateral cooperation documents between the two countries' ministries, agencies and localities, following their talks the same day.
