In 2025, Vietnamese films surpassed 60% of the domestic box-office market share for the first time. In the first months of 2026, this rate continued to rise to more than 70%. However, experts have warned that this increase does not necessarily mean stable development, as most profits are still concentrated in a number of box-office hits, while the gap with the rest of the market remains very wide. The question now is how to turn this growth momentum into a truly sustainable ecosystem.
